As the most powerful six-cylinder engine in the light-duty truck segment, it gives the 1500 an impressive towing capacity of 11,580 pounds and a payload rating of 2,300 pounds.

The new Hurricane power plant joins the base 305-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 in the RAM 1500's engine lineup. All models are equipped with a smooth-shifting TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission designed to improve perfomance, drivability, and fuel efficiency.
